Belly Dance – Egyptian Style

In this Belly Dance – Egyptian Style workshop Sara will introduce you to three fundamental principles that define the Egyptian Style of Belly Dance: grounding, versatility and the rule of engage-release. She will start the workshop with a powerful warm-up that you can use as a grounding routine. Then you will drill some basic moves, characteristic of the Egyptian style, followed by some exercises to teach you how to increase your dance vocabulary by applying the principle of versatility on those moves. Finally, Sara will explain you the principle of engage-release through examples.
At the end of the workshop you will learn a dance sequence that include quintessential Egyptian style moves that apply the principles you just learned. Be ready for lots of technique and tips!
